Common questions

Is LaneWorthy free?

Yes, to start. Every lesson and every permit question is free, plus the first two driving areas, a free level from every other area, and one mock exam and one hazard test a day. LaneWorthy Pass unlocks every level, the Road Test simulator and unlimited tests.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-up. Your progress stays on your phone.

How do I move my progress to a new phone?

In the app, tap "Move or back up progress." Save the progress file, then open it in LaneWorthy on the new device.

I bought LaneWorthy Pass on another phone. How do I get it back?

Your Pass belongs to the Google Play or App Store account you bought it with. Sign in to that same account on the new phone, and if the Pass doesn't show up, email us.

How do refunds work?

Purchases go through Google Play or the App Store, so refunds follow their policies. Request one from your store account, or email us and we'll point you the right way.

Does it cover my state?

Yes. Pick your state to see where its rules differ from common US practice, with a link to your state's official driver handbook. All 50 states and D.C. are included.

Is it a state-approved drivers ed course?

No. LaneWorthy is a practice tool. It doesn't replace a required drivers education course or supervised driving hours.

Can my teen use it while driving?

Only to record a drive. Tap Start drive before you leave and Stop drive after you park. The driver shouldn't touch the phone while the car is moving.
